Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will manage financial records, perform accounting activities, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Perform regular financial analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Process payroll, including calculating wages, deductions, and bonuses.
• Handle tax preparation and ensure timely filing of tax returns.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Manage and process accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Reconcile balance sheets and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
• Liaise with external auditors and assist with audits as needed.
• Monitor and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus but not required.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with financial forecasting and budgeting.
• Familiarity with tax laws and regulations.
• Previous experience in [industry-specific knowledge, e.g., retail, healthcare, etc.]
